Manisha Hazarika, a veteran musician and singer was born and raised in a respectable Bengali family in Kolkata. She had a musical background but chose to stay in Assam after her husband, Assamese singer-composer Jayanta Hazarika, died, in order to keep his legacy alive.
Manisha Hazarika has promised herself to keep those memorable songs of her husband alive. She is an inspiration and a role model for every woman.
She completed her husband’s uncomplete euphonic contributions covering films like “Bonoria Phool, Niyati, Brishti, Dharmakai, and Natun Asha” after Jayanta Hazarika‘s death.
