The Navagraha Temple is found on the most elevated of Chitrasal Hill (or Navagraha Hill), in Guwahati city, Assam, India.

Cherished on this sanctuary are 9 Shivalingams, addressing the 9 Celestial our bodies, each fixed with a hued article of clothing emblematic of everything about heavenly our bodies, with a Shivaligam inside the middle representing the Sun.

The Navagraha sanctuary was built by Ahom King Rajeswar Singha inside the late eighteenth century. Navagraha sanctuaries are sanctuaries devoted to Navagraha – the 9 (nava) fundamental divine our bodies (Grahas) of Hindu cosmology.

These heavenly our bodies are named Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangala (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node).
