Mohabahu Brahmaputra is a song written by the renowned poet and songwriter, Bhupen Hazarika. This song has been adapted for film and TV many times over the years, with different artists performing it in each rendition. It was composed in Guwahati on September 8, 1952, when Bhupen Hazarika lost his voice during a performance of Rabindranath Tagore’s play Bhanuram in which he himself did not sing.
