IAF Group C Civilian Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
For all positions, the age restriction is 18 to 25 years old (The crucial date for determining the age limit is the last date of receipt of application).
For OBC applicants, there is a three-year age relaxation.
(ii) 05 years for applicants who fall under the SC/ST category.
(iii) 10 years for applicants who are physically challenged. (Additional 05 years if physically handicapped and belongs to the SC, ST, or OBC categories; additional 03 years if physically handicapped and belongs to the OBC category)
Supdt (Store): Graduate of a recognised university or equivalent is required. Experience managing stores and maintaining accounts in a reputable public or private sector company is preferred.
Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Passed a recognised Board’s 12th Class. On a computer, a typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi (on an average of 5 key depressions for each word, 35 wpm and 30 wmp equate to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH).
Hindi Typist: A 12th-grade diploma from a recognised institution is required. On a computer, a typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi (on an average of 5 key depressions for each word, 35 wpm and 30 wmp equate to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH).
Store Keeper: 12th Class or equivalent from a recognised Board or University is required. Experience managing stores and maintaining accounts in a reputable public or private sector company is preferred.
Ordinary Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver: Passed matriculation or received an equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university. A valid Civil Driving License for light and heavy vehicles is required; Must be a skilled driver with a thorough understanding of motor mechanisms. Driving experience of at least two years is required.
Cook (Ordinary Grade): Matriculation from a recognised board with a certificate or certification in catering; one year of trade experience
Painter (Skilled): A 10th-grade pass from a recognised Board or Institute is required. Ex-servicemen in the relevant trade viz. Painter OR Industrial Training Institution Certificate in the trade of Painter from a recognised institute.
Carpenter (Skilled): A 10th-grade pass from a recognised Board or Institute is required.
Ex-servicemen in the relevant trade viz. Carpenter Rigger OR Industrial Training Institution Certificate in the trade of Carpenter from a recognised institute.
Housekeeping Staff (HKS): Matriculation or comparable qualification from a recognised Board or University is required.
Members of the Mess Staff: Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University is required. One year of waiter or washer up experience from an Organization or Institute is preferred.
MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff): Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University is required. One year of experience working as a Watchman, Lascar, Gestetner Operator, or Gardener for an Organization or Institute is preferred.
IAF Group C Civilian Recruitment Selection Process
(a) All applications will be reviewed for age restrictions, required qualifications, papers, and certifications. Following that, call letters for the written exam will be sent to qualified applicants.
(b) Eligible applicants will be required to take a written examination. The written exam will be based on a minimal level of education.
(c) The written exam will consist of the following sections: I General Intelligence and Reasoning (ii) Numerical Aptitude (iii) General English (iv) General Awareness (depending on the position).
(d) The question and answer sheet will be written in both English and Hindi.
(e) Based on merit/category in the written exam, the required number of applicants will be selected and invited to a skill/physical/practical test.
(f) Candidates who have been shortlisted must provide original certificates as well as copies of the annexure that was attached to their application.
How to Apply for IAF Civilian Group C Recruitment?
Candidates who meet the requirements may apply to any of the following Air Force Stations, subject to openings and qualifications. Within 30 days of the last date of publication of this advertising in ‘Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar,’ applications in the format provided below (typed in English/Hindi) must reach the relevant Air Force Station of choice, properly backed by the accompanying papers.
(a) All supporting papers, such as certificates of education, age, technical qualifications, physical disabilities, experience certificates, and caste certificates (provided by competent civil authorities in the case of SC/ST/OBC applicants), shall be self-attested.
(b) In the event of OBC applicants being appointed against their reserved quota, their caste should be included on the Central List of OBCs, since only castes registered under the Central List are eligible for Central Service appointments. The most recent regulations for creamy layer in OBCs must be followed. Candidates seeking OBC status must provide a certificate stating that they do not belong to any of the creamy layers with their application.
(c) Ex-servicemen must provide a self-attested photocopy of their discharge book with their application.
(d) A completed application form in English or Hindi, together with a current picture (passport size) that has been self-attested. Any additional documentation that may be helpful (self attested), Stamp (s) of Rs. 10/- placed on self-addressed envelope. Type the address in English or Hindi. For each position, a separate application should be submitted. On the envelope, clearly write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ———— AND CATEGORY————.”
e) Two passport-sized photos (same as fixed on the application form).
