Legendary Bihu singer, Bhitali Das passed away at Kalapahar COVID-19 Hospital at 19:05
21st April 2021 due to COVID-19. Her last rites were performed at Nabaragha crematorium in Guwahati.
She was last seen performing at the Judges Field Bihu program organized by the All Guwahati Student’s Union on 14th April.
Her brother, Parag Das was also passed away on Sunday night at GMCH. He was tensed after hearing the news of his sister being detected with COVID-19 and thereafter he fell in the bathroom and had a head injury he was also suffering from other diseases. He was first taken to GNRC and later shifted to GMCH where he took his last breath on Sunday night.
Dr. Bijaylakshmi Das was a well-known singer as well as an assistant teacher at PASCHIM GUWAHATI MAHAVIDYALAYA. She has been associated with an Assamese feature film (Soru Bowari) and Rajashree Theater as a music composer lyrics and singer.
She was fighting with COVID-19 for few days but today morning 1st May 2021 when her health deteriorated she was taken to Hayat Hospital but she took her last breath midway.
The 32yrs old Assamese singer Parvin Pori born on 28th December 1989 had been performing in various Bihu Functions for the past few days with Ramadan fasting. Parvin Pori, who suddenly fell ill, admitted into GNRC Hospital, Guwahati. She had tested positive for COVID-19 and she has passed away today at GNRC Hospital where she had been undergoing treatment.
Parvin Pori might have contracted the virus while performing during a Bihu function. Her Father was also died two days ago before her death was affected by COVID-19.
