1. Burano Islands
Called to be the brightest town in the world. It is located 7 km away from Venice. One can reach here by boat from Venice which will take around 40 minutes. It is famous for its multicoloured houses which makes the streets look like a rainbow. The main occupation of the people there is fishing. According to legend people started colouring their houses so that they could see them even in thick fog and avoid crashing at the harbour. The most interesting thing is that no two adjoining houses has the same colour. Moreover if someone wishes to paint a house,an application must be sent to the government first.
This is the capital city of Ecuador. It has a monumnent called “Ciudad Mitad del Mundo” or “Middle of the World city” in a park. A thick yellow line runs through the ground that marks the precise position of the Equator.

It was built by the locals on the 16th or 17th century to avoid the European traders make the shallow waters and the island of Nokoue a place of refugees.

5. Phugtal Gompa
The Phugtal Monastry or the Phugtal Gompa is a Buddhist monastry located in Ladakh. This monastry looks like a bee hive. The monastry can be accessible only on foot. Supplies to the monastry are brought on horses, donkeys and mules in summer while in winter they are transported through the frozen Zanskae river.
