Right from the land through which the river Brahmaputra flows to the land of the river Mississippi, Adil Hussain has been a constant source of pride for the people of Assam.
Versatile actor Hussain is on the way to add another feather to his hat as he will now be showing his histrionics in Norway.
Hussain said, “I will be working in a Norwegian movie by Iram Haq. As of now, I cannot reveal much about my role in the movie, but I am looking forward to work with Iram, one of whose films, I Am Yours, was selected as the official Norwegian Oscar entry (for Best Foreign Language Film). For now, I am working with Rajinikanth for Robot 2.0.”
Haq is an actor, screenwriter and director best known for her feature film, I AM YOURS
Expressing that he loves realistic films, the actor said, “I love essaying roles that have some level of complexity to it and are portrayed in shades of grey. I want that my roles have a realistic touch to it. We are all a concoction of both good and bad and have different levels of complexities within ourselves. This is what I want to show the people.”
Hussain added, “Different kinds of roles give me an opportunity to explore myself. It is a window to dive into the river of emotions which remains hidden from the world and from my own self. I prefer doing movies with a complex script and not the run-of-the-mill kind.”
The actor from Assam has worked in international films like The reluctant fundamentalist,Life of Pie, etc. His latest film Parched was released on September 23 this year co-starring Radhika Apte and is an Ajay Devgn production. Parched premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival last year and also stars Tannishtha Chatterjee, Surveen Chawla and Riddhi Sen.
Hussain expressed his ‘displeasure’ over the buzz which surrounded the nude scenes which he shares with Apte in Parched.
